There are so many ways in which you can support Rev as a charity. It doesn’t matter how much or little you can do, we’ll be grateful for any help. You might want to:
Volunteer to help organise materials and events.
Fundraise to help keep Rev running and affordable.
Pray for the charity, the choirs and our members.
Volunteering for Rev
Do you have skills or gifts which you could use to support Rev?
Perhaps you have a love of organising events, designing logos, or writing blogs? Perhaps you can develop websites, lead workshops, or offer pastoral support? These are just some of the many things Rev needs enthusiastic volunteers to help with, and we’d love you to come on board!
If you’d be interested in volunteering for Rev we’d love to hear from you. Even if you’re not sure what you can do, we will find a way for your gifts to be used to help support the charity. Email to express your interest and find out more about how you can become a volunteer.
Rev also regularly looks for volunteers to help organise events. WiM is our annual week away in April, with job applications normally opening sometime around December. RESITS is Rev’s “summer holiday” at the end of August and application for jobs generally open after WiM. If you think you might be interested in volunteering for a position keep an eye out for job descriptions of the various roles on offer when they appear.
Applications for RESITS Co-ordinator 2017 are open! 🙂
Fundraising for Rev
Do you or your family regularly shop online at shops like Amazon, Expedia, booking.com, John Lewis or Sainsbury’s?
By using Give as You Live you can raise funds for Rev at no extra cost to you! Just shop via their website or even better, download the toolbar. It will pop up at the top of your window if you’re on a website where you can raise money for Rev. Then make your purchase as usual and Rev will receive up to 5% of your purchase, easy as that! It doesn’t cost you anything extra – the retailer pays – but Rev benefits!
Raise money every time you search the internet.
Everyclick is a search engine. Every time you use it, money will be donated to Rev
Want to make a one off donation to Rev?
With Vodaphone text giving you only have to send one text to give money. It’s easy! Text REVY01 followed by the amount in pounds e.g. “REVY01 £5” to 70070.
We can also give you the details to do an online transfer or send us a cheque in the post if you’d prefer that. Just e-mail our National Finance Administrator for details.
Want to regularly give to Rev?
Become a Friend of Rev and set up a direct debit to send us money as often as you choose (and if you fill in the gift aid form we get a whole 25% extra free at no extra cost to you!). You can give as much or little as you like. Again, contact our National Finance Administrator to become a Friend of Rev.
Want to organise a fundraiser for a Rev?
If you fancy organising a fundraising event to raise money for Rev (perhaps hosting an auction of promises, doing a sponsored run/walk, having a bake sale, raffle or guess the number of sweeties in the jar contest) then do get in touch. We’d love to support you however we can in your fundraising venture; be that chatting through ideas, advertising via social media or helping set up a giving page. Email to suggest your ideas.
Have used ink cartridges or mobile phones you don’t need anymore? Don’t throw them away!
We can use them to raise money for Rev! Perhaps your choir/community group could collect items to be recycled, then a courier can come collect these from you (you need 20 items or more). If not, bring your items to the next Rev event you’re attending and we’ll have a collection point for you to drop them off at! 🙂 For more information visit: https://www.recycle4charity.co.uk/InkjetCartridges
If you have any other ideas for fundraising we’d love to hear from you!
Praying for Rev
Rev is a Christian-based charity. You don’t have to be religious to join and we’d never force anyone to take part in religious activities, but for many members prayer is an important part of their lives. If you want to join our prayer list, e-mail our Prayer and Pastoral Support Coordinator.
Also if you’re a Facebook person, then you can also get prayer updates via the Rev Prayer Facebook group. Ask to join our Rev Prayer Facebook Group here.
